Ever since Constanze can remember she was drawing, listening to tapes and watching her surroundings intensely. The daily evening reading sessions by her parents to her and her five siblings inspired her so much, that she decided to be a children's book illustrator herself, studying illustration at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, the Minneapolis College or Art and Design and FH Hamburg. A wise choice: so far her books have been awarded and published in 13 different countries. She has been working for a wide variety of clients, is teaching at two Art Schools and runs a little online-shop with canvases, prints and postcards of her own design. Constanze lives in Cologne, Germany with her husband and their two small kids, who are providing her with tons of new ideas.
